Sugar Mountain 2015 – Lineup

Sugar Mountain have released the lineup for their 2015 addition to be held at the Victorian College of the Arts. It’s a fucking corker.

Hip-hop legend Nas will be playing his incredible debut Illmatic in full and will be joined by the likes of Body / Head, Twerps, Banofee, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Ariel Pink, The 2 Bears, SWANS, How to Dress Well, Midnight Juggernauts, Dexter, NO ZU, and heaps more incredible artists.

TV On The Radio release new track ‘Careful You’


TV On The Radio have released another track from their upcoming record, Seeds. It’s got deep funk grooves written all over it and generally kicks a lot of arse.

As Stereogum report, the first taste we got was ‘Happy Idiot’, and now they’ve delivered ‘Careful You’, only serving to heighten the anticipation around the albums release. Check out the lyric video below and treat your ears.

Seeds is due out November 18th, through Harvest.

Flying Lotus Stereogum Q&A


Following on from yesterday’s pretty darn spectacular news that Flying Lotus will be heading to Laneway Festival for 2015, Stereogum have featured a Q&A with Mr Steve Ellison ahead of the release of his latest album, You’re Dead. The new record is out October 7th through Warp.

Laneway 2015 Full Line-Up


A sneak peak of the line-up for St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has been revealed, and what a cooooooorker it is. Earlier this morning the NZ Herald revealed six of the first acts in a little cheeky early reveal.

Joining the already announced Mac DeMarco, which the Herald described as a Canadian “rapper”, is BANKS, Lykke Li, Future Islands, Jungle, and Courtney Barnett.

We can add that Flying Lotus, Jon Hopkins, Belle and Sebastian, Little Dragon, FKA Twigs, St Vincent, Vic Mensa, Ratking, Royal Blood, Angus and Julia Stone, Tiny Ruins and more are also playing Laneway 2015, check out the full thing here.

Holy good balls this is going to be one hell of a show. It’s remarkable how the Laneway team continue to exceed expectations.
